Automating rewards for birthdays and work anniversaries was particularly cumbersome. The process was time-consuming and prone to errors, leaving employees feeling undervalued. This lack of automation hindered Lumen’s ability to maintain consistent and meaningful employee engagement.
THE SOLUTION
Implementing automated rewards with personalization
To address these challenges, Lumen Technologies partnered with a new rewards platform that offered comprehensive automation features and diverse redemption options. The Market Development Manager, Angel Mankowski, was pivotal in implementing this solution. The platform enabled automated work anniversaries and birthday rewards, allowing managers to set up rules for automatic reward distribution.
This new system featured a $10 budget for birthdays and a $20 budget for work anniversaries. Managers and admins received notifications beforehand, providing an opportunity to personalize gift messages. The redemption options were significantly expanded, including virtual or physical Visa cards, Amazon Business Direct Ordering with Prime benefits and discounts, in-app shopping with up to 5,000 products, and thousands of gift cards.
