Premium intern kits on a tight timeline

Microsoft's BIC team was preparing welcome kits for its 2026 intern cohort, and the kits needed to be in interns' hands before they started. That left a narrow window. The kit contained Sony Headphones, a Thule Accent Computer Backpack, and a Stanley Everyday Suburban Mug that had to be sourced and assembled into a single consistent kit.

The interns were not all in one place, either. The swag kits had to reach recipients in the US, Canada, and Ireland.

THE SOLUTION

Optimized fulfillment for fast turnaround

PerkUp assembled the full kit. For shipping, rather than routing everything through a single warehouse and redistributing, PerkUp's optimized fulfillment process dropshipped each kit directly to its recipient, sending 4 kits to the US, 2 to Ireland, and 1 to Canada.

Shipping directly to each recipient removed the redistribution leg entirely. Every swag kit took the shortest path from fulfillment to the doorstep, which made the timeline possible.

The project was approved on May 11, and every kit was delivered by May 19, an 8-day turnaround spanning three countries. Interns across the US, Canada, and Ireland received the same premium intern swag kit on time for their start.
